Strange day
Today has been a strange day. I woke up to Sue telling me there was still no water.
Then I found that my mobile phone had stopped working. Tried turning it off and on - no good, just a blank screen. I'm just starting to think I'm going to have to take it back to the shop and hopefully it will be covered by guarantee. Did it get wet in the rain yesterday? I didn't think so but what if it did and they refused to cover the damage... But then I had a brainwave, took the battery out and put it back - that did the trick. Phew!
The work outside our house went on until 4.00 am and when we got up this morning there was still no water. Someone from the water company finally came to turn it on at 8.30. And then the water pressure was less than half what it should be so they were going to have to arrange for a plumber to come round and sort it out some time later. But half an hour later it cleared by itself.
So we were all rather frazzled this morning. A disturbed night and still no water first thing. And then when it did come on it wasn't right and I'm wondering when I'm going to be able to have a shower. I never feel fully awake until I've had a shower. And then suddenly it was OK.
It was one of those days work wise too. A lot of brain power expended but not really getting anywhere. Like the email problem that I spent an hour and a half troubleshooting only for it to magically clear itself.
We spent a very pleasant evening, though. Daughter is still away in France and Son was working so we had the house to ourselves. We couldn't get up to too much mischief because we never quite know when Son is going to come home so we snuggled up on the sofa in front of the fire and watched TV. So the end of the day made up for the frazzled start.

The photo came out well in the end - it was obviously worth the hassle ofsetting up the long exposure..
Thank you - both for taking the photo, and for a lovely evening - it is so lovely, cuddling up together, your hands on my skin, that slight frisson we have, the way your fingers unlock the knots of tension in my shoulders is priceless. It is almost like a time of "re-bonding" - just reminding eachother of how we "feel" - and I mean that physically.. thank you for that..
I don't think I have told you today - I do love you, you know!
Glad the day ended better than it began. Having water issues sure does suck majorly. And that picture is pretty. I'm sure you and Sue enjoyed it. :)
Ed and Sue...
that is beautiful!
i loved sue's comment as much as the post. you two are beautiful.
Sue Cariad, well of course it was a real hardship massaging your back and running my hands over your loveley soft skin. :) After all these years I'm still amazed how senuously you react to my touch.
It's me who should thank you, I think. Amazing how pleasurable an evening watching television can be, isn't it?
I know I don't tell you enough just how very much I love you.
SS, we sure did. It's been very cold here lately.
Steve and Laine, thanks!
lovely photo but the love between you two outshines any fire.
